the ace Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali appeared as a guest in the 'Gup Shab' show hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, where he showed his anger with Pakistanis for promoting people like Chahat Fateh Ali Khan as a singer.
During the interview, he expressed disappointment over the kind of people society is promoting as ‘singers’.
The singer shared his opinion on Chahat Fateh Ali Khan being termed as an ‘artist’ and said ‘Some people actually think of him as a singer and wait for the release of his songs.’
Talking about it, he said, “I feel so sad after seeing him, we have started making fun of singers. Just because of Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, our singers are being degraded, many people still believe that he is a singer and they say,’ he has released a new song’. Please have a heart, he is making fun of your country’s music and singers. I will blame our people, they love to see such entertainment. They need cheap entertainment, they will appreciate a weird and funny artist instead of a real one. We will see the repercussions of it in the future, they will realize their mistake.”
