The complainant in illegal marriage case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan has withdrawn his petition, which surely is a relief for the incarcerated former prime minister facing a plethora of court cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Petitioner Muhammad Hanif on Friday informed the court in Islamabad of his intention to take back the case against the PTI chairman’s Nikah with Bushra Bibi.
Judicial Magistrate Qudratullah accepted the Hanif’s request.
Imran Khan was alleged to have married Bushra Bibi during the latter’s Iddat period. “Iddat” is the period a woman must observe after the death of her husband or after a divorce, during which she may not marry another man.
