Mohsin Naqvi delivers keynote address at Air War College Institute

Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi Friday said that the anti-state forces will fail as always while delivering a key-note address to the participants of Air War College Institute in Karachi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan is full of all kinds of resources and it will thrive very soon. He said that hopelessness is a sin and everyone has to play their role for Pakistan hopefully.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan was under a circular debt of more than Rs600 billion when the caretaker setup was given charge 10 months back. He said that he was determined and, with the help of his team, managed to pay off the debt. His team increased the area under cotton cultivation and saved foreign exchange of $3 billion. Rice cultivation has been increased by 100% which raised a total of $2 billion.

He said Rs100 billion was to be spent on Safe City projects in Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi but, his and his team’s excellent decision-making helped them save Rs88 billion with the expenditure of only Rs12.5 billion. Upgrade of 100 hospitals in Punjab is ongoing along with the building of new hospitals.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the Air Chief is putting in a lot of efforts into the fields of education and technology and has done an unparalleled job in both these fields. His services to education and technology development are appreciated.

Mentioning the Kacha area operation, he stated that the police gained control of 95% of the 60000-acre area occupied by the infamous dacoits in 10 months.

Steps are being to eliminate smog on every level. A ban on buying petrol-fueled motorcycles at the government level has been imposed in Punjab and only electric motorcycles will be bought. Around 10000 students will be given electric bikes on subsidy, said Punjab CM.

Air Vice Marshal Hussain Ahmed Siddiqui also addressed the event and appreciated the Punjab government's projects for public welfare. Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Senior Member Board of Revenue, and DIG Police gave a briefing about the ongoing projects to provide relief to the people and the law and order situation in Punjab.

The participants of the Air War College Institute course included officers from the Pakistan Air Force, Navy, and Army including Nigeria, South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Yemen, and other countries.

Provincial Ministers Mansoor Qadir, Aamir Mir, Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Senior Member of Board of Revenue, Secretaries of concerned departments, and senior officials were also present on this occasion.
