PTI-N chief, family escape unhurt in ‘gun attack at home’

Unknown assailants opened fire at the house of the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazriati (PTI Nazriati), Akhtar Iqbal Dar, in Sheikhupura, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, the PTI chief and his family escaped unhurt in the attack. PTI-N chief told the media that he was sitting on the lawn of his house when unknown attackers opened fire at his home.
He said that the pistol’s bullet hit his car’s front mirror on the porch of the house. Akhtar Dar said he and his family members remained safe during the attack. He said the police were informed about the incident.
He claimed that his opponents and political rivals wanted to silence his voice. Akhtar Iqbal Dar said he would continue to raise his voice against corruption and mismanagement in the country.
Akhtar Dar appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Inspector General of Punjab Police to take notice of the firing incident and order the arrest of the unknown criminals involved in the firing incident.
