The issue of summer vacations in educational institutions across Punjab has been put on hold and the final decision in this regard will be taken in the next NCOC meeting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Every year, summer vacations in schools start from July 1.
According to sources, the holidays will be extended from July 18 to August 1 by the NCOC.
On the other hand, Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas want summer vacations from July 2 to August 2 contrary to the NCOC suggestion for summer vacation from July 18 to August 1st.
Moreover, All Pakistan Private Schools Federation President Kashif Mirza said that there will be no summer vacations in the schools.
He said the other provinces like Sindh should also end summer vacation and announce suitable school timing.
“Due to the heat, students can come to school without uniforms. Schools with online learning facilities will conduct online classes,” Kashif Mirza said.
“It is impossible to compensate the educational loss of 50 million students for the last 18 months by closing educational institutions continuously,” he added.
