Punjab CM orders preventive measures after rain forecast

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered preventive and necessary administrative measures on the possibility of rains across the province including Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Chief Minister issued instructions for advance measures on the forecast of stormy rains in the province till April 29.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered commissioners, deputy commissioners and MD WASA to be active for drainage.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also instructed to the concerned officers to be present in fields in all shift.
Administration and WASA should be active and all resources should be used for drainage, instructed Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The CM directed all necessary steps should be taken to keep the traffic flowing in Lahore and other cities.
Maryam Nawaz directed that traffic wardens actively perform duties in field to help citizens.
Chief Minister further instructed to rescue services agencies to take immediate safety measures.
Timely shifting of people from low-lying areas to safe places should be ensured and they should be warned about the situation in advance, Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed.
Chief Minister directed that help should be taken from media, social media and mobile alerts service.
Effective measures should be taken to protect livestock in rural areas, the Chief Minister directed.
