LDA governing body dissolved on Punjab CM’s instructions

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Housing Department Friday dissolved the governing body of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to ensure transparency, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The LDA vice chairman, who had been appointed by former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi, governing body members, LDA tribunal and bona fide commission were de-notified.
LDA Vice Chairman Naeemul Haq was removed.
Water and Sanitation Authority (Wasa) Vice Chairman Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood was removed.
LDA governing body members – Tariq Sana Bajwa, Sadia Sohail, Mukhtar Ahmed, Umar Aftab, and Muhammad Atif were removed.
LDA bona fide commission member Tanveer Ahmad Warraich was removed.
LDA tribunal comprising Munawwar Iqbal Gondal and Munawwar S Cheema were removed.
The Housing Department also issued a notification in this regard.
