Maulana Fazl intervenes in PTI resignations crisis

Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stepped in to address the ongoing issue of resignations within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, including that of Sheharyar Afridi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

In a significant development, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, along with Mahmood Khan Achakzai, held a meeting with PTI members in the National Assembly’s opposition lobby. Asad Qaiser and other PTI senior leaders were also present during the meeting.

Sources indicate that Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the importance of resolving issues through mutual understanding rather than emotions. He encouraged the PTI members to handle matters with a calm and rational approach.

Following the intervention, Sheharyar Afridi has reportedly decided to temporarily withdraw his resignation, expressing a willingness to improve the situation.

Sources also reveal that PTI senior leadership has requested members to remain silent on their differences until the release of Imran Khan.

This intervention by Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai appears to have momentarily calmed the tensions within PTI, offering a potential pathway to resolve internal disputes.
