Private schools to remain closed on Friday

The District Education Authority Lahore on Thursday ordered closure of all private schools on Friday as part of Eid holidays.
The authority said that action will be taken against the schools not following the directive.
Earlier, the Punjab government announced 10 Eid holidays at all public schools in the province.
School Education Secretary Khalid Nazir Wattoo said the holidays would begin on March 28 and continue until April 6.
“The schools will reopen on April 7,” he said, adding, “The new academic year will also start on that day.”
The secretary informed that the annual exams results would be announced on April 4.
