The Pak Suzuki has rubbished reports about the reduction in the prices of its vehicles, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

A spokesperson for Pak Suzuki said the company has not announced a cut in the prices so far.

A counterfeit notification is being circulated, the official stated, adding that the company has nothing to do with this bogus circular.

The media is abuzz with reports claiming that Pak Suzuki reduced the retail prices of vehicles from Rs40,000 to Rs1,10,000.

The reports aired a day after Honda Motor announced bringing down the prices following the devaluation of the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee.

The phoney story states Suzuki reduced the prices of Suzuki Ravi by Rs40,000 to Rs17,41,000, Bolan by Rs42,000 to Rs18,98,000, Swift GL by Rs95,000 to Rs41,61,000, Swift GLX by Rs1,10,000 to Rs48,50,000, Alto VX by Rs50,000 to Rs22,01,000, Alto VXR Rs75,000 to Rs25,37,000, Wagon R by Rs75,000 to Rs31,39,000, Cultus VXR by Rs85,000 to Rs36,33,000 and Cultus AGS by Rs95,000 to Rs42,71,000.
