Petrol price likely to go up by Rs2.43 per litre

The price of petrol is likely to increase due to hike in petroleum rates in the world market while diesel price is expected to be slashed for the next month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, authorities proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs2.43 per litre while per-litre rate of diesel was proposed to be reduced by Rs5.65 after drop in ex-refinery price of diesel by Rs5.65 per littre.
The sources further said that crude oil is trading at $90 per barrel in the global market while crude oil was at $87.74 per barrel at the time of pricing on October 15 while ex-refinery price of petrol has increased by Rs2.43 per litre.
