The flying schools’ licensing fees have been increased under the new aviation policy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The licensing fee of a category-2 flying school has been increased by Rs5 million to Rs10 million.

The licensing fee of a category-1 flying school has been increased by Rs500,000 to Rs3 million.

A category-1 flying school has the authority to issue Private Pilot License while a category-2 flying school has the authority to issue Commercial Pilot Licence.

All these flying schools were functioning under the National Aviation Policy 2019.

After the National Aviation Policy 2023 was introduced, all the fees and policies were also changed.

All the flying schools that are yet to get their licenses will get them by submitting new licensing fees.

The existing air service operators will have to renew their licenses within two years of the implementation of the policy.

The flying school operators will deposit the fees in the account of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
