Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stressed the need for a charter of the economy to cope with economic challenges, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
“Unless there is a Charter of Economy, the economy cannot be revived.” Imran Khan and his team ruined the economy. Joint efforts are need of the hour,” the minister maintained.
“We are not afraid of dissolving the Punjab Assembly. We are not involved in this process. We have a constitutional mechanism that we are using to prevent this, he said.
“We agree with the decision taken by the Lahore High Court. Parvez Elahi cannot take the vote of confidence.”
Regarding the issue of local body elections in Islamabad, he said: “We decided that the number of union councils should be increased and this is our right.”
Hinting at the election of the mayor in Islamabad, he said it would be good if there is the election of the mayor and the PTI itself has demanded it.
The decision of the Election Commission on the local elections is welcome, he said, adding that the PTI should go for filing an appeal instead of campaigning against the institutions.
