As many as five passengers were tested positive for COVID-19 from a flight SV-700 from Madina Munawara, Saudi Arabia at Karachi International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The corona positive passengers were shifted to the quarantine facility in Government Hospital in Korangi. As per details, all passengers who returned from Madina but COVID-19 reports of five passengers came back positive. The authorities have confirmed about the covid-19 cases. 

Earlier, Saudi Arabia warned that citizens visiting destinations on its list of countries blacklisted due to Covid-19 will face three-year travel bans following their return.

Those found to have travelled to restricted countries would face "hefty penalties... as well as being prevented from travelling abroad for a period of three years", the interior ministry said on Twitter. "Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the spread of new variants, the ministry warns against travelling to countries on its (restricted) list, whether directly or indirectly via other countries."
