On Wednesday, the police team raided houses of the accused in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Gujranwala to arrest her but it failed.
Earlier this week, a case was registered against Somia Asim at Humak police station for allegedly perpetrating severe kind of torture on her 14-year-old domestic help.
The case was lodged on the complaint of the girl’s father, r/o Sargodha, who told police that when he and his wife went to see their daughter Rizwana at the judge’s house in Islamabad, they found her in a miserable condition. He alleged that the judge’s wife subjected his daughter to severe torture and there were torture marks all over her body.
She was taken to a Sargodha Hospital but due to her critical condition, she was shifted to a Lahore hospital.
The major injuries described by the complainant include swelling on lips and eyes, broken teeth, and ribs and strangling marks on the neck.
According to the FIR, the complainant accused Somia of torturing and keeping his daughter in illegal custody since the day she started working at the judge's house and sought action on the matter.
