FBR Multan region tightens grip on tax defaulters by blocking their SIMs

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has further tightened its grip on tax defaulters and continued to block SIMs of non-filers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on

According to FBR officials, so far 26591 SIMs of non-filers have been blocked by the Regional Tax Office Multan.

FBR officials said that Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan had sent the data of 27545 non-filers to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

Blocking SIMs will continue, FBR officials said.

In addition to shutting down mobile phone SIMs of non-filers, electricity and gas connections will also be disconnected, FBR sources said.
