Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has once again sought permission to hold a public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on May 9, submitting a fresh application to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
PTI leader Akmal Khan Bari formally requested approval for the event, emphasizing that the party had previously submitted applications, but the Punjab government had yet to grant permission.
Bari asserted that holding a peaceful rally is a fundamental right of PTI, urging authorities to allow the gathering at the historic venue.
"The government must respect democratic values and facilitate our rally at Minar-e-Pakistan," PTI Vice President Punjab stated, reiterating the party’s demand for approval.
