Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been allowed to travel abroad only once a month, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

A decision to this effect was taken by the sub-committee of the caretaker federal cabinet in response to Abbasi's request to the Interior Ministry, prompted by his inclusion in the Exit Control List (ECL).

A month ago, he was barred from flying to China after being told that his name was placed on the no-fly list.

The Cabinet's subcommittee rejected Abbasi's plea for a multi-entry visa, limiting his foreign travel opportunities.

The scrutiny of Abbasi's travel requests is linked to his inclusion in the ECL due to ongoing legal matters.

The summary regarding travel permission was presented by the Ministry of Interior and the cabinet through the circulation of the summary granted its approval.

Additionally, the federal cabinet approved appointments for three members of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Saadia Haider has been appointed as a member for planning, Shahzad Khalil as a member for investment, and Dr. Khalid Hafeez as a member for engineering.
