Police constable shot dead by intruders in Jaranwala village

A police constable named Nazir Hussain was shot dead by unidentified armed men who broke into his home in a village near Jaranwala, Faisalabad, late at night.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the 56-year-old constable, stationed at Lundianwala Police Station, was asleep with his family in their residence in 354/GB when three unknown suspects forcibly entered the house and opened fire.
Constable Nazir Hussain died on the spot, and the assailants managed to flee the scene. Saddar Police Station officials reached the spot and shifted the victim’s body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Jaranwala, for legal proceedings.
The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Dr Muhammad Abid Khan, took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad, Kamran Adil.
The RPO Faisalabad directed senior officers to visit the crime scene personally, gather evidence, and investigate the incident from all angles.
Additionally, the RPO ordered the formation of special teams to apprehend the suspects at the earliest. "A thorough investigation must ensure the culprits are brought to justice, and the victim’s family is provided with due relief and justice on a priority basis," he said.
