PCB chief presides over meeting to review ICC Champions Trophy preparations

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over a meeting to review preparations for ICC Champions Trophy to be held in the country next year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the PCB chairman directed to constitute different committees and assign specific responsibilities to them. These committees should start work immediately, he added.
He further directed that all the major teams all over the world will participate in this mega event so we should take every possible measure to facilitate and adopt comprehensive strategy to facilitate them.
He also directed to expedite construction work regarding upgradation of stadiums and any delay in completion of these projects would not be tolerated.
He said that measures should be taken for timely completion of these projects. He said due to upgradation of these stadiums cricket fans will enjoy match with enthusiasm and in peaceful atmosphere.
He lauded the enthusiasm displayed by cricket fans during Bahria Town Champions Cup tournament being played in Faisalabad. He said that he will also consider to hold Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Faisalabad.
Chief Operating Officer PCB Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, PCBs directors and other relevant officials were also present during the meeting.
