Punjab to send back foreign Tableeghi members with negative test

Punjab Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik on Wednesday directed the provincial administration that all foreign members of Tableeghi Jamaat whose results have come in negative must be sent back to their respective countries.

He made these directions while chairing a meeting on anti-coronavirus measures being taken in the province.
Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat was also present in the meeting and said that the provincial government would seek advice from the federal government on Youm-e-Ali (RA) congregations.
As per the Punjab Home Department data sheet, Tableeghi Jamaat status on April 29 is as follows: there are 11,414 Tableeghi Jamaat members quarantined in Punjab in the earlier stage but now there are 1,968 currently quarantined while 621 in Sindh, 76 in Gilgit Baltistan, and 243 in Balochistan.
