Security plan finalized for Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtema

Lahore police finalized a special security plan for guarding the annual Tableeghi Ijtema in Raiwind near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Capital Chief Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kimyana directed Lahore police to adopt effective measures to provide fool-proof security to the participants of the ijtema.
Three SPs, 10 DSPs, 41 Inspectors/ SHOs, 262 Upper Subordinates including three thousand police personnel will perform their duties on different locations while patrolling teams of Dolphin Force will also be deputed on different routes.
Six entry points already established for the ijtema and 14 check-posts were established and 40 walkthrough gates were installed on various points.
Around 175 CCTV cameras are installed to monitor security situation of the ijtema. A control room were also established in Assistant Commissioner’s office to monitor security situation.
The first session of Tableeji Ijtema will begin from October 31 to Sunday 3, 2024.
CCPO Bilal Siddique Kimyana said that effective security measures are adopted for security of the participants. All participants will have go-through a bio-matric process for verification.
He said that police personnel will coordinate with the administration of ijtema regarding situation. Police force will monitor the movements of the participants.
They appealed to general public that if they found any suspicious bag, or item, they should report it to nearest police team immediately.
An effective traffic plan also being implemented for smooth running of traffic in the area. CCPO also appealed the participants to cooperate with the local and traffic police and behave with them positively in this regard.
He also urged the participants to cooperate with police team for checking process.
CCPO directed police teams to continue conducting search and combing operations in the area against suspicious persons.
