PM Imran to visit Saudi Arabia on May 7

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia early next month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will be heading to Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit on May 7. The schedule of his visit is being finalized, the sources said. The prime minister is expected to perform Umra during his visit.
He will meet Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
A high-level delegation will accompany the premier.
The prime minister will extend an invitation to the Saudi king to visit Pakistan.
Both leaders of the Muslim countries would discuss different regional and international affairs during their parleys.
In a tweet a day earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has welcomed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to restore peace with Iran. PM Imran said Iran is the neighbour and Saudi Arabia is the closest friend.
He expressed hope that the step towards peace will strengthen the Ummah.

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told a TV channel that Riyadh wanted good relations with Tehran as the former wanted the latter to help push the Middle East towards prosperity.
Earlier, reports emerged that top Saudi and Iranian officials had held secret talks in Iraq in a bid to repair relations.
