Second case of poliovirus reported in Pakistan

The health department has detected a second case of poliovirus in North Waziristan, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Friday.
According to the details, a spokesman of the Ministry of Health has confirmed that a two-year-old girl from North Waziristan became infected with the virus.
Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel has expressed concern over the new case and said they will eradicate polio in any case.
The health minister said effective measures are being taken on an emergency basis to eradicate the virus. He said all resources will be used to eradicate poliovirus from Pakistan.
Patel advised parents that they must vaccinate their children against poliovirus during the anti-polio campaign as the eradication of polio is a religious, moral and national duty.
