PTI leaders booked for running propaganda against Punjab police, IG

A case has been registered against the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for running a propaganda campaign against the Punjab police, inspector general and other institutions on social media.
A CIA officer is the plaintiff in the case registered under the Cybercrime Act Hammad Azhar, Musrat Cheema, Jamshed Cheema, Qasim Suri, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Ali Zaidi, Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati are nominated, the FIA said.
It added that 52 unidentified persons are also accused in the case.
According to the case text, the PTI leaders and social media activists are blaming the Punjab police, IG and government officials for vandalizing and inflicting damage in Zaman Park.
They are deliberately creating chaos and damaging the state organs and the propaganda is endangering the families of the officials too, said the text, adding that misleading and false information is being spread on social media.
