The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been accused of spreading fabricated propaganda regarding alleged casualties during their protest in Islamabad.

The 24NewsHD TV channel reported that PTI is utilising fake images, videos, and incorrect statistics to further their nefarious political agenda.

The channel highlighted that PTI has even misused images of Palestinian martyrs, associating them with fabricated claims of protester deaths.

Notably, PTI social media activist Salman Ahmed, who has fled abroad, linked the Palestinian martyrs' images to the alleged fatalities, furthering the misleading narrative.

On the other hand, PTI leaders have made conflicting statements about the number of casualties during the security forces crackdown against the protesters.

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja claimed 20 deaths, Sher Afzal Marwat mentioned 12, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur cited hundreds, and Latif Khosa alleged 278 fatalities.

However, major hospitals like PIMS and Polyclinic have issued clarifications denying these claims.

PIMS administration reported receiving 36 civilians and 66 law enforcement personnel in injured conditions, while Polyclinic stated that no bodies were brought in, only a few minor injuries that were treated and discharged.

The purpose of this propaganda appears to be to malign state institutions and mislead the public about the protest's outcomes.
