Heavy rain hits Hyderabad: DC announces public holiday tomorrow

The district administration has declared a public holiday tomorrow (Thursday) to avert any untoward incident due to heavy rains, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad deputy commissioner issued a notification stating all the educational institutions of the city will also remain closed on Thursday.
It has been raining intermittently for the past two days, grinding life to a standstill. Electricity supply has been suspended from 156 feeders in the Hesco region. The residents are urged to stay indoors to avert rain-related disasters.
