The weather forecast for Friday indicates cold and dry weather in most parts of the country, with light rain possible in some northern areas and foggy conditions prevailing in the plains, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.


According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Islamabad will experience cold and dry weather, with fog likely in some places in the morning.


The weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be cold and dry in most districts, while severe cold will persist in upper districts and cloudy weather in the evening/night. Light rain or snowfall may occur in Chitral and surrounding areas.


Fog is expected in Mardan, Swabi, Charsada, Nowshera, Peshawar and DI Khan during morning and night hours.


Punjab will also witness cold and dry weather in most of the districts, while very cold weather will continue in Murree, Galliyat and surrounding areas.


Heavy fog or smog will cover Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Mangla, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Hafizabad, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and adjacent areas. Fog is also likely at some places in the Potohar region during morning hours.


Balochistan will have cold and dry weather in most of the districts, while it will be cold and partly cloudy in the northern districts.


Sindh will also have cold and dry weather in most of the districts. Fog or smog is expected in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki and Pad Eidan during morning and night hours.


Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir will have very cold and cloudy weather in the evening/night, with light rain or snowfall possible at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan. Fog is also likely at some places in Kashmir during the morning hours.
