Fans’ frenzy: Tickets for three ICC Champions Trophy matches sold out

Cricket fans have shown overwhelming enthusiasm for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, as tickets for three marquee group-stage matches have already sold out within hours of release, reported 24NBewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) launched the first phase of online ticket sales on Tuesday at 2 PM, and the response was nothing short of extraordinary.

By Wednesday, tickets for the tournament opener between Pakistan and New Zealand, as well as the highly anticipated matches between Australia and England and Pakistan and Bangladesh were completely sold out.

Reacting to the development, a PCB spokesperson expressed satisfaction with the fans’ astonishing response, terming it a depiction of their support towards the national men’s cricket team.

“The public response to ticket sales has been gratifying,” said the PCB spokesperson.

“The sale of tickets in a few hours is a reflection of the interest of the fans and also that they are standing with their team, which is good news.

“The PCB remains committed to facilitating the maximum number of spectators to watch the matches in the stadiums.”

For the unversed, the ticket price of the Pakistan-hosted matches of the Champions Trophy 2025 ranges from PKR 1,000 to 25,000, depending on the venues, seating category and also on fixtures.
