Federal Directorate of Education promotes Prep to Class VII students without exams

Federal Directorate of Education has decided to pass all the students from grade 1 to grade 7 without examinations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
According to the Federal Directorate of Education notification regarding the promotion policy of the students, there will be no examination for classes Prep to VII and the students will be promoted to the next class.
However, the schools have been asked to keep the four assessments of each student in each subject in the school record.
For class VIII, the schools will conduct in-house examinations of the students and the students taking 35% marks in each subject will be considered a pass. Moreover, only those students securing 55percent aggregate marks will be allowed to enrol in science subjects in the ninth class.
The schools under the Federal Directorate of Education will observe the summer vacations from July 18 to August 1 while the results of class VIII would be announced on July 30-31. The new academic session will start on August 2.
