Veteran Pakistani actor Rashid Mehmood took to his social media and shared a heart-wrenching video addressing the immense rise in electricity bills.
He mentioned being unemployed due to a lack of opportunities for senior artists and not having the means to pay his electricity bills which have skyrocketed.
He reminded the government that he had been a victim of a heart attack four (4) times and now he has been feeling why Almighty Allah saved him from the attack.
‘Mere rab kyu bacha lia mujhe, utha lete mujhe (my god, why did you save me, you should’ve let me die).’
He questioned, “I served the Pakistani showbiz industry for a long time but now there is no work available in Lahore so from where I pay this bill of above 45000?”
"It's unbearable for me and I am praying to Allah for my death", he added.
