Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is being controlled by a "hidden hand" with an undisclosed agenda that does not align with Pakistan's interests.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he talked to the media persons in Islamabad on Tuesday and said, "The root cause of the unrest is a hidden hand whose leadership and agenda remain secret."

Interior Minister Moshin Naqvi criticised the ongoing protests, calling them a "disgrace to the nation," and urged PTI to refrain from creating a spectacle on the streets.

Moshin Naqvi revealed that although a ceasefire was brokered to clear routes to Sanjani, PTI's hidden leadership ultimately undermined those efforts by making conflicting decisions.

The minister accused the protesters of launching intense tear gas shelling on the police and stated that the government is committed to avoiding casualties.

However, he announced that the Inspector General of Police has been given full authority to control the situation. "Protecting the Red Zone is our top priority," Naqvi emphasised.

Naqvi disclosed that all the protesters came from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and claimed that around 2,000 trained individuals are among them, heightening the severity of the protests.

Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday also visited D-Chowk to review the security arrangements up to Shaheed Millat Chowk. Despite the ongoing shelling by miscreants, Mohsin Naqvi reached Shaheed Millat Chowk and met with the personnel on duty.

The Interior Minister stood by the personnel during the shelling, boosting their morale, urging them to bravely counter the miscreants.

He individually met with the personnel of Rangers, FC, Police, and Sindh Police, appreciating their enthusiasm. The personnel on duty chanted slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”.

Talking to the personnel, Interior Minister said: “You are all soldiers of Pakistan, and you have to deal with the miscreants according to the law.”

IG Islamabad Police, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and other relevant officials accompanied the Minister.
