Pakistan Muslim League (PML) central leader Moonis Elahi has asked the Punjab government to allow stable coronavirus patients to go into self-isolation at home instead of shifting them to hospitals forcibly.
Moonis, who is also a member of the National Assembly, said in a tweet on Sunday that those who want to stay at home should be allowed treatment at home in complete isolation. However, those with severe symptoms should be shifted to hospitals without any delay, he said. He said that people are not ready to be tested for coronavirus due to the fear factor. He said that hospitals do not have sufficient number of beds to accommodate every patient.
Government of Punjab should allow positive #COVID2019 patients to self isolate in their homes and only shift them to hospitals when they develop serious symptoms. Many are avoiding tests due to fear of being dragged off. We don’t have enough hospital beds. @UsmanAKBuzdar
