Pakistan Muslim League (PML) central leader Moonis Elahi has asked the Punjab government to allow stable coronavirus patients to go into self-isolation at home instead of shifting them to hospitals forcibly.

Moonis, who is also a member of the National Assembly, said in a tweet on Sunday that those who want to stay at home should be allowed treatment at home in complete isolation. However, those with severe symptoms should be shifted to hospitals without any delay, he said. He said that people are not ready to be tested for coronavirus due to the fear factor. He said that hospitals do not have sufficient number of beds to accommodate every patient.

A number of coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Gujrat, hometown of Moonis, in recent days. Since a large number of people from Gujrat is based in Europe and other countries of the world, most of people who have tested positive for coronavirus returned from abroad in recent days.
