Pakistan has offered support to Thailand and Myanmar after they were devastated by a powerful earthquake, in which over 1,000 people have so far been killed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued in Islamabad on Saturday, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his deep grief over the loss of precious human lives and other losses in the devastating earthquake that struck Thailand and Myanmar on Friday.

The president expressed solidarity with the people and affected families of Thailand and Myanmar in, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release.

He further said that Pakistan shared the grief of the affected people of both countries in this hour of grief.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that he was deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake in Thailand and Myanmar.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of both countries as they pass through this difficult time,” the prime minister posted on X account Saturday.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan stood in solidarity with Thailand and Myanmar.
He also offered support and wished them strength, safety, and a swift recovery from this catastrophe.
