Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said on Friday he does not consider the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a political party, but he is not in favour of a ban on the party founded by the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media in Sukkur, Shah said the PTI needs to be made a political party. He said the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is terrible and 100 people have been killed, but the PTI remained busy in invading Islamabad. He said the PTI created a hype about its November 24 protest, but it could not gain a foothold in Islamabad.
Shah said that he is not in favour of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite the fact that the law and order situation in the province is very poor. He said how will the PTI deliver at the federal level if it cannot deliver at the provincial level. He said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should tell which provisions proposed by him were not included in the 26th Constitutional Amendment. He said that all the provisions proposed by Fazl were included in the latest legislation.
