Pakistan hockey team leaves for Azlan Shah Cup 2022

The Pakistan hockey team departed for Ipoh, Malaysia to participate in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Six teams are participating in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup with the tournament slated to be held from November 1-10. Despite India's absence, Pakistan's team will gain from competing against teams like South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, and South Africa.
Pakistan is scheduled to play a warmup match against Japan ahead of their first match of the tournament against South Africa on November 1. On November 2 Pakistan will play against Malaysia, while on November 5 Pakistan will square off against South Korea. On November 5, Egypt will host the Umer Bhutta-led team's final league game.
The knockout matches for the competition are slated to take place on November 9 and 10.
