Punjab CM orders early completion of development projects

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi reviewed progress on 43 ongoing priority projects for the welfare of the people in a 3-hour long meeting on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the meeting which was attended by provincial ministers at the Planning and Development Board offices.
The Chief Minister observed the development progress of 43 projects through drone footage, reviewed the administrative and financial issues of each project.
On the occasion Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete the ongoing development projects within the timeline.
CM Muhsin Naqvi also instructed for early commencement of work on Abdullahpur flyover in Faisalabad and Jinnah Park in Jhang.
While giving briefing in the meeting, Chairman P&D Board Iftikhar Sahu said that 92 pecent of the work on the Shahdara Multigrade Flyover Project and 65 percent on the Imamiya Colony Overhead Bridge has been completed.
He said the construction of Akbar Chowk flyover and Bedian underpass is 80 percent completed while Main Boulevard Gulberg to Walton Road is 80 percent and Ghora Chowk flyover is 34 percent completed.
He further briefed that about 31 work on Ring Road Southern Loop, 55 percent on Wahandu Interchange Gujranwala, 51 percent on Gajumata to Kasur Ferozepur Road have been completed.
In the meeting projects of Multan Shujaabad Flyover, Divisional Level E-Registration Office and New GOR were also reviewed.
Upgradation of Services Hospital, Gangaram Hospital, Lady Willington, Mayo Hospital, General Hospital and other hospitals were reviewed in the meeting.
A report was presented on the upgradation, construction and rehabilitation of Lahore Zoo and Safari Park.
The CM instructed to speed up the upgradation of Baba Bulhe Shah, Shah Shams Tabriz, Baba Farid and Redarbar Bibi Pakdaman shrines.
He ordered to complete the projects of Safe City Authority of Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala as soon as possible.
A report was submitted on the establishment of Cadet College Multan, Gujranwala University and the restoration of Qila Kahna Qasim Bagh in Multan and the establishment of a park.
The participants were also briefed about the PAFDA Laboratory and Rabi Gas Plants.
In the meeting of the Planning and Development Board, the progress of the ongoing development projects across the province was reviewed.
Chairman Planning and Development Board Iftikhar Sahu gave a detailed briefing about the monitoring of 43 priority projects and the progress made so far.
Provincial Ministers Bilal Afzal, Dr. Javed Akram, Mansoor Qadir, Amir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Dr. Jamal Nasir, Ibrahim Murad, Chief Secretary, Chairman National Highway Authority, secretaries of departments and senior officials attended the meeting.
