FBR burns cigarettes worth Rs120m

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday burned cigarettes worth Rs120 million in Gujranwala, reported 24News HD TV channel.
The FBR set cigarettes, recovered during various operations led by Chief Commissioner Karamatullah Khan, on fire.
Chief Commissioner Karamatullah Khan said that during 11 operations, 2281 cartons of smuggled, imported, and local cigarettes worth Rs120 million were recovered. He said these cigarettes were brought from Azad Kashmir and were being sold in different cities without paying taxes. He said that strict action was being taken against the smugglers.
