Man shot, injured for resisting robbery in Lahore

A citizen got injured for offering resistance during a dacoity attempt in Garden Town area of Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, dacoit identified as Ahmed Okasha intercepted citizen Aslam near Campus Bridge while he was driving a car.

However, during robbery incident, Aslam tried to show resistance. Resultantly the dacoit opened fire and injuring him in the leg.

The Dolphin Force personnel meanwhile arrived at the scene and also came under fire from the dacoit, who was injured when the Dophin cops retaliated.

The dacoit was arrested and was shifted to hospital for treatment. The injured citizen was also taken to hospital.

Police said the injured bandit Ahmed Okasha was a hardened criminal and has a record.
