Iran still inexpensive country in world despite sanctions: DG Khana Farhang

Calling upon the traders of Lahore to come forward and make the most of trade opportunities in Iran, DG Khana-e-Farhang, Lahore Jafar Ronas on Sunday said that no two countries could have as much trade ties with each other as Pakistan and Iran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking at a seminar held at the Iranian consulate on the ‘Promotion of Tourism and Investment in Iran’, he said that despite sanctions and the Covid-19, Iran was still the cheapest country in the world where all items of essential use were available at quite affordable rates. “One litre of petrol costs just Rs8 in the Islamic Republic,” he disclosed.
“I invite the Pakistani businessmen to come to Iran and explore trade opportunities on offer there,” he added.
Iran’s Consul General Muhammad Raza Nazri, Mukarram Tarin, Umar Chaudhry, Brigadier (r) Fazl, Mansoor Khan, Saad Mehmood Khan and Bilal Ahmed Chaudhry also spoke on the occasion.
