Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday terminated the basic party membership of 22 more important personalities for deviating from the party policy, reported the 24NewsHD TV Channel.

PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan terminated the basic party membership of former KP chief minister Mehmood Khan, Ziaullah Khan Bangash, Shaukat Ali, Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Ehtisham Javed Akbar, and Aghaz Ikramullah Gandapur.

PTI also canceled the membership of Muhammad Iqbal Wazir, Zahoor Shakir, Wilson Wazir, and Syed Muhammad Ishtiaq for attending the new party meeting without informing the competent authority of PTI.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also revoked the basic membership of Syed Iqbal Mian, Syed Ghazi Ghazan Jamal, Sher Akbar Khan, Shah Faisal Khan, Saleh Muhammad, Mufti Obaidullah Khan, Nadeem Khyal Khan, Muhammad Shafiq Afridi and Muhammad Didar.

Mohibullah Khan, Ibrahim Khattak, and Ahmed Hussain Shah have also been expelled from the party for going against the party policy and attending the new party meeting.

A formal notification was issued, bearing the signature of Secretary General Umar Ayub, to communicate the cancellation of their party memberships. The notification explicitly cites the reasons for this action.

They were also directed to avoid using party name, designation, and membership in any manner or else legal action would be taken against them.
