Govt mulling plan to gradually restore int’l flights: Moeed

The federal government has decided to keep the international flights operation suspended until the further executive orders. However, it is mulling a plan to gradually restore international flights.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Monday, Dr Moeed Yusuf, Special Assistant to PM on National Security, said that no decision was taken regarding the resumption of the air service, adding that Railway operation would also remain closed until the next executive orders.
Dr Moeed also said that all the Pakistanis who were stuck in Bangkok and were recently landed from the special flight to Pakistan tested negative for the coronavirus, adding that “There’s not a single Pakistani stuck on any airport in the world.”
He further said there was also no plan to restore the domestic flights operation, however the government trying to work out a plan allowing resumption of international flights step by step.
