The absconding MNA of Pakistan People’s Party Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio nominated in the murder case of Nizam Jokhio has not flown back yet to Islamabad from Dubai though the voting on opposition’s no-confidence motion is expected tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The authorities have put the name of MNA Jam Karim on the Provisional National Identity List (PNIL) on the demand of Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and as soon as Mr Jam Kamal touched the Pakistani soil, he would be arrested.
The absconding MNA obtained a protective bail from the Sindh High Court.
He approached the SHC through his attorney seeking exemption from his appearance in the trial court. Accepting his plea, the SHC court granted him a protective bail against a surety bond of Rs100,000 directing him to surrender before the trial court before or till April 3.
It has been learnt that Mr Jam Kamal has confirmed his air ticket from Dubai to Islamabad to take part in the no-confidence motion tomorrow and he was due to reach the federal capital today.
The PPP MNA is involved in the murder of Nazim Jokhio. A tortured body of Nazim was found at the Malir farmhouse of PPP MPA Jam Awais in November last year. The MPA along with his MNA brother Jam Karim and others has been booked for allegedly killing Nazim as he had tried to stop his foreign guests from hunting houbara bustard.
Police nominated detained MPA and four others as accused in their charge sheet and shown MNA Jam Karim as an absconding suspect in the case.
