Prime Minister Imran Khan is all set to lose the trust of the national assembly as key allies Wednesday jumped to the opposition alliance ship.

The ruling PTI that emerged as the major party in the national assembly was only able to form the government after the support of BAP, PML-Q, GDA, AML, BNP-Mengal, JWP, MQM and some independent candidates.

However, sensing the outcome of the no-confidence motion, all the allies have stranded PM Khan one after another whereas many disgruntled PTI members have also reportedly given support to the opposition’s movement.

The current position as per announcements of the parties joining the opposition alliance shows the alliance has now the support of 176 members in the national assembly sans PTI disgruntled members.

The no-confidence motion needs 172 votes to succeed in the national assembly.

Here is the party position now in the National Assembly.

PML-N: 64

PPPP: 56

JUI: 14

MQM: 7

BAP: 04
