Pakistan’s exports to Iran remain zero

Amid US sanctions, Pakistan’s exports to Iran were standstill at zero during the last three consecutive years, however, Pakistan's imports continued to rise and touched record $808 million dollars in fiscal year 2023, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to data, during three consecutive years FY-2021 to FY-2023, Pakistan’s exports to Tehran remained zero.
The key reason behind the poor export record was reported to be the US ban on banking channels which are used during trade with Iran.
However, during the last three fiscal years Pakistan's imports from Iran increased manifold.
3-year back Pakistan's imports from Iran was reported at around $200 million dollars. During 2020, Pakistani exports for Iran were recorded at $10,000 dollar.
While during fiscal year 2019, Pakistan export stood at $12.4 million.
During fiscal year 2018, exports stood at 2.2 million US dollars.
During fiscal year 2021, Pakistan exports stood at $513 million dollar. While during 2022, exports with Iran reached $800 million dollars. While during fiscal year 2023, Iran’s exports touched record $808 million dollars.
