PPP finalises names for chairperson of Senate standing committees

The Pakistan People’s Party on Sunday finalised the names for the chairpersons of Senate standing committees, reported 24News HD TV Channel.
The PPP has decided not to give the chairmanship of the committees to any new member.
The party finalized Sherry Rehman, Farooq H Naik, Raza Rabbani, Salim Mandiwala, Robina Khalid, Taj Haider, and Shameem Afridi from KP to head the bodies.
According to the sources, the PPP did not include any name from interior Sindh. Opposition leader in Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani and Senator Sherry Rehman finalised the names. Sherry Rehman, who is already a parliamentary leader in the Senate will also be chairperson of the standing committee.
