Shahadat Awan sworn in minister of state

President Dr Arif Alvi on Monday administered the oath of office to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP’s) Senator Shahadat Awan as the minister of state, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
Earlier on May 26, President Alvi had given approval to the appointment of Senator Shahadat Awan as state minister on the advice of the prime minister under article 92(1) of the Constitution.
Shahadat Awan will hold the portfolio of state minister for law and justice.
