GHQ Gate Attack Case: 12 accused handed over to Military Commanding Officer

In the case of the GHQ Gate attack on May 9, the court has issued orders to hand over the 12 accused to the Military Commanding Officer for their trial in the military court on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the accused have been named in the cases registered in RA Bazar and Civil Lines police stations in Rawalpindi as all of them were involved in the attack on the gate.
RA Bazar and Civil Lines police stations have registered the First Information Reports (FIRs) under Sections 3, 7, and 9 of the Official Secrets Act (also known as Pakistan's Anti-Espionage Act).
The jail authorities have also been directed to hand over the custody of the accused to the Military Commanding Officer (MCO).
Muhammad Idrees, Umar Farooq, Raja Muhammad Ehsan, Muhammad Ali, Ali Hussain, Laal Shah, Shahryar Zulfiqar, and Farhad Khan are included in the accused persons who will be handed over to the MCO.
According to the sources, the number of accused of the May 9 incidents shifted to the military court for trial has now risen to 34 and the handover to military courts was made possible through an anti-terrorism court.
