Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that a case of treason against the government should be registered for threatening not to release funds to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Commenting on the issue in the 24News HD TV channel program—Dastak—on Tuesday evening, Ahsan said a refusal of funds is in fact an interference in the constitutional duties of the Commission.
He further said that the sitting government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is depending on the electronic voting machine (EVM) to win the next elections through the rigging.
Commenting on Bilawal's statements, Ahsan Iqbal said that the opposition should be strong against the government instead of making statements against each other.
Interestingly, he avoided commenting on the issue of Justice (R) Rana Shamim’s affidavit.
