Tevta, Cheetay join hands for job provision and entrepreneurship sessions

The Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) and Cheetay have joined hands for provision of jobs to Tevta students and sessions for entrepreneurship for them by Cheetay, a handout said on Thursday.
An MOU to the effect was signed by Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique and Cheetay COO Mohsin Qureshi on behalf of their respective organizations during a simple ceremony here at the Tevta secretariat.
Ali Salman while addressing the participants underlined that provision of quality education and provision of economic opportunities to Tevta trained students were the cornerstone of new Tevta vision. The agreement with Cheetay was a step forward towards the realization of this policy and was a practical manifestation of this policy. Ali said that Tevta intends introducing soft skills and spoken English classes for its students across the province which will surely contribute towards overall grooming and value addition of our students.
COO Mohsin Qureshi said that Cheetay was one of the fast-growing e-commerce platforms of Pakistan with its presence in all major cities of Pakistan. He said we strongly believe in youth empowerment and creation of job opportunities for the youth of Pakistan. The MOU with Tevta was a reflection of this policy. We envisage provision of 50,000 jobs to youth over a span of next five year period, he said.
Under the agreement Cheetay will provide jobs to Tevta trained students on priority, will hold awareness sessions for Tevta students and graduate of cooking trade to open home food shops over Cheetay platform and provide sessions on entrepreneurship to Tevta students.
